UNRWA is needed for critical, life-saving care and resources
The flow of humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria is desperately needed. Restoring funding to the crucial work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) matters. H.R. 9649 is a bill introduced in the House, and S.5388 is a related bill introduced in the Senate. The work of UNRWA is the work of feeding the hungry, sheltering the unsheltered and providing lifesaving medical care to tens of thousands in need.
Urge your members of Congress to co-sponsor these bills. Check if your member of Congress has already cosponsored here for the House and here for the Senate, and if they have, express your thanks and support. Then let’s urge our elected officials to bring these bills to the floor for a vote.
Christ fed the hungry, healed the sick, and broke bread with the outcast, sinners and vulnerable. He calls us to do the same. Our government support for UNRWA funding is a way to stand with those among us who are vulnerable and their need for humanitarian aid. Your feedback and support can make a difference.
Share your values and convictions by customizing the message to members of Congress. Thank you for your advocacy.
